{"id":304,"date":"2016-02-14T19:36:41","date_gmt":"2016-02-15T00:36:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hugodlr.com\/?p=304"},"modified":"2016-09-28T20:30:37","modified_gmt":"2016-09-29T01:30:37","slug":"salmon-patty-recipie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hugodlr.com\/?p=304","title":{"rendered":"Salmon Pattie Recipie"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Cooking \/ Prep Time:<\/strong> 30 mins \u2013 1 hour (depends how many you make at once)<br \/>\n<strong>Servings:<\/strong> About 5-8 for each can, depending on the size and thickness of the pattie<\/p>\n<p><strong>Must Have Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 Can of Canned Salmon<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd a pack (not box!) of crackers (multigrain, plain, your choice of brand &#8211; we use gluten free crackers now)<\/li>\n<li>You can also use other crunchy items &#8211; potato chips, Cheetos, croutons &#8211; experiment for different flavors and textures!<\/li>\n<li>1 Egg (premixed in a separate bowl for better results) (2 eggs if you like the taste and want a creamier finish)<\/li>\n<li>Salt\/pepper\/lemon &amp; herb seasoning<\/li>\n<li>2 lemons<\/li>\n<li>Large Mixing Bowl<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>At your discretion ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chopped \/ minced garlic<\/li>\n<li>Chopped \/ minced onions<\/li>\n<li>Chopped \/ minced mushrooms<\/li>\n<li>Anything else you feel like throwing in<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Directions<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat a large skillet on medium-high heat<\/li>\n<li>Drain the salmon can, keeping about 1-2 teaspoonfuls of liquid in the bowl where we will mix everything.<\/li>\n<li>Empty the salmon into the aforementioned bowl<\/li>\n<li>Using a fork, flake the salmon into small pieces<\/li>\n<li>Take your crackers and crush them in any way you like (I prefer just using my hands, but you can put them in a bowl and crush them with a blunt object of some sort)<\/li>\n<li>Add oil and\/or butter to the skillet (I prefer a mix of olive oil with dairy free butter)<\/li>\n<li>Add the crackers to the salmon and mix lightly<\/li>\n<li>Pour the egg into the same bowl and mix all ingredients together well (I use my hands \u2013 you can use whatever favorite mixing implement you have)<\/li>\n<li>Add a bit of salt, pepper or whatever other seasonings and optional ingredients you want to use \u2013 mix well one more time<\/li>\n<li>The oil should be nice and hot by now<\/li>\n<li>Shape the salmon into small balls, then smoosh (yes, that\u2019s a technical cooking term) them into flat patties (size is up to you)<\/li>\n<li>Lovingly put them into the oil (it\u2019s hot \u2013 be careful!), and cook about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown (I like adding a bit more seasoning to each side as it cooks)<\/li>\n<li>Take out of oil and let rest for a few minutes (they\u2019re tired!) inside of some paper towels (to soak up excess oil)<\/li>\n<li>Spritz with some freshly cut lemons wedges and enjoy!<\/li>\n<li>They make great salmon burgers, or you can pair them with some Jasmine or Basmati rice, or any other side dish you like \ud83d\ude42<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Blessings &amp;
