We have explored several different names for the celebration of the Mass:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div align=\"justify\">Eucharist<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"justify\">The Lord&#8217;s Supper<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"justify\">The Breaking of Bread<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"justify\">The Holy Sacrifice<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"justify\">The Sacred Mysteries<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"justify\">Holy Communion<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"justify\">Holy Mass<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"justify\">We have talked about the literal meaning of Eucharist (<em>giving thanks<\/em>), and how it is the most important sacrament we celebrate. <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">We have also explored time from our point of view (<em>chronos<\/em> time &#8211; the kind of time that has a past, a present and a future) and from God&#8217;s point of view (<em>kairos<\/em> time &#8211; the kind of time where there is no past or future: everything is <strong>now<\/strong> as viewed from God&#8217;s vantage point).<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Finally, we have begun to explore the Mass as both a communal meal and a sacrifice celebrated through <em>anamnesis<\/em> (the liturgical act of remembering &#8211; the way we enter into <em>kairos<\/em> time and are present with Jesus at the Last Supper, at his passion and death on the cross, and with the resurrected Jesus as he breaks bread with his apostles).<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Students have also been hard at work on their gala project &#8211; most students have finished thier crosses and we have begun work on the three canvas backdrops.
